The dominant forces that structure the biosphere is the man. The course illustrates what this means for our ecosystems, to humans and the trends in society. The social-ecological challenges that current research has identified will be defined and identified. The course discusses various disciplines and the ways used today to measure and control the ecosystem that maintains human welfare. Course period: September – November.
