Oceanografins grunder, orienteringskurs, 7.5 hp (7.5 ECTS)

First level, Part time

This course gives an overview of different subjects in oceanography, with emphasis on physical oceanography. It treats the development of ocean basins, physical properties of seawater, geophysical fluid flows like wind-driven currents and currents driven by differences in temperature and salinity, waves and tides. Further it treats the oceans role in the climate system.
