The course contains the outlines of the physical processes which, applied to the atmosphere, can describe what happens in the lower parts of the atmosphere (below 10 km). Examples of the content are radiation processes, clouds and precipitation processes, laws for the horizontal and vertical movements in the atmosphere, El Nino and the structure of synoptical weather systems. Furthermore meteorological observations and different kinds of weather maps are discussed.
