Four areas are addressed in the course: 1) You will study nutritional epidemiology in depth and will be supervised in writing a paper on relationships between diet and health. 2) In the area determinants for dietary habits, we will discuss how individual, cultural, social, psychological and economical factors influence peoples dietary habits. 3) The area of nutrition policy aims to give you a deeper understanding of policy documents, support systems, international agreements and rules that comprise the juridical framework for national and international work in public health nutrition. 4) The fourth area comprises writing a scientific article. You will do a literature search and collect, analyse and discuss the results in a written report according to basic principles for the scientific article.

The above mentioned knowledge and skills are important in all health promotion work and are thus useful in a wide range of activities.
