Bachelor's Programme in Urban and Regional Planning

The Bachelor's Programme in Urban and Regional Planning is a three-year education for those who want to study planning from an interdisciplinary – mainly social science – perspective. The programme leads to a bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning.

The Bachelor's Programme in Urban and Regional Planning (SPP) gives students both broad and deep knowledge of planning and its conditions. The programme is project-oriented and emphasis is placed on team work, report-writing and analyses. Fieldwork and excursions give students the opportunity to study planning problems and solutions in real situations. Students study courses in the main field of study, urban and regional planning, during the first year and half of the third year. The second year are elective courses (inclunging one compulsory semester in economics or statistics) in archaeology, earth science, economic history, economics, environmental management, ethnology, human geography, political science, sociology, statistics or urban and regional planning, and optional courses.
