Performativity, body and gender on stage
This course gives a thorough grounding in Gender Theory, as well as an interdisciplinary approach to the issues raised by Queer Theory.
The course is aimed at students from a variety of disciplines, particularly those who require advanced theoretical studies ahead of taking a Master’s degree. The course illustrates how theories that concern gender, sexuality and power can be taken up in performative theatrical productions.
Prerequisites and special admittance requirements
Bachelor's degree and English B/English 6. Applicants' knowledge of English must be documented by an international proficiency test (TOEFL test) including TWE with a minimum of 575 (paper) or 90 (Internet), or Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English, or IELTS test with a minimum of 6.5 (and no module under 5.5), or the equivalent.

Course structure
Teaching format
Instruction is given in the form of lectures and seminars. Attendance is mandatory. If the student needs to be absent more than once, he/she will have to make up for the missed class by making an additional written assignment.
Assessment
Examination is in the form of written home assignments.
