The students will enhance their ability to develop a critical and questioning approach to the influences of global trends on children, childhood and child-rearing practices. Concepts and terms regarding culture, identity and learning for a sustainable development are critically examined within a project report or thesis.

(Students who already has taken the Children Culture and Globalization first cycle course, are not able to use the CCG advanced level credits in your exam. We therefore advise you to choose other courses).

Special eligibility requirements: The course addresses students with a bachelor's degree within Teacher Education or Social science. Students with a mother tongue other than English have to document a good command of written and spoken English. English B (Swedish upper secondary school course) or equivalent, or one of the following tests: IELTS: 6.5 (with no section below 5.5). TOEFL (paper based): 575 (with minimum score 4,5 in the written test). TOEFL (internet based): 90 (with minimum score 20 in the written test). University of Cambridge and Oxford: Certificate in Advanced English or Diploma of English Studies.
