Course Aim and Learning Outcomes The aim of the course is to provide a general overview of Latvian history, culture and social life. In addition you will gain an insight into the historical processes that have formed the Baltic states as well as knowledge of the central occurrences and relevant social issues, e.g. transformation processes, language debates, emigration.

Course Content and Method of Instruction Instruction is in the form of teacher-led classroom lessons, lectures and seminars.
