Description
The course provides advanced knowledge of the main research questions, methods and results in bilingualism research. The course seeks to provide the students with advanced knowledge of theory and methodology as well as insights into scientific ways of working in the field of bilingual research. Bi- and multilingualism are discussed from three perspectives: society, the individual and the purely linguistic perspective. The main research questions, research methods and results are discussed for each of these perspectives. Current debates on bilingualism in society will be illuminated against this background.
