Description
This course discusses the contemporary study of East Asian societies, histories, cultures and political organizatons, while critically evaluating the frameworks by which the region is traditionally studied. The coure aims to challenge both colonial and nationalist frameworks, while discussing regional perspectives and highlighting transregional and global perspectives. The course investigates East Asia and the global discourse on the region as both discipline and geographical space.
Area of interests: Language and Linguistics
Languages open doors to other cultures, experiences, business contacts and collaboration between countries. At Stockholm University you can study nearly 30 different languages.
