The course deals with how physical and chemical processes affect the Earth’s climate and the links between human activity and climate change. The course includes practical model simulations of e.g. the Earth’s energy balance and exchange processes between the atmosphere and the ocean. Furthermore, the course will offer training in scientific hypothesis formation, and discuss the reasons for the limitations of our understanding of the climate system.
