This course aims at increasing your understanding of the possible toxic and non-toxic effects of food intake. The subjects include basic toxicology, where the nutritional aspects and the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms are discussed. Also, biotransformation of xenobiotics, pharmacokinetics, interplay between endocrinology and toxicology, cytotoxicity, genotoxicity and tissue-specific toxicology are addressed.
