Evolutionary Ecology
The course focuses the ongoing interplay between ecological and evolutionary forces that gives rise to the impressing diversity in form, function and behavior among plants and animals.
The course gives a deeper understanding of past and present patterns and processes in nature. We will cover the evolution of life-histories in plants and animals, sexual selection, evolution of mating systems, animal interactions, reaction norms and plasticity. The course also treats co-evolution between species and ecology from a phylogenetic perspective.

Teaching format
The education consists of lectures in connection to the course literature, as well as research seminars, exercises and one shorter individual project. Participation in seminars, exercises, project workt and group education associated with this is compulsory.

Assessment
Examination takes place through written and/or oral examination and written and/or oral presentations.
