Linguistic Evolution, Development, and Variation

Will we all be speaking English in 100 years? This course deals with questions about the origins of language, how and why languages change, how children acquire and develop their language and why there are so many languages in the world. The course can also be taken as a part of Linguistics I, 30 ECTS credits.
