Mathematical Communication
How do we communicate mathematics in speech and writing, depending on the audience and the context?
The course covers typesetting in LaTeX, presentations with Beamer and PowerPoint, orientation and publishing in mathematical journals, mathematical popular science, writing scientific and popular science articles in mathematics, and giving mathematical lectures or talks.
This is one of the courses in our Master's Programme in Mathematics, but can also be taken as a free-standing course.

Course structure
The course consists of two modules; home assignments and project work.
Teaching format
Instruction consists of lectures, seminars and exercises. Participation in all instruction is compulsory.
Assessment
The course is assessed through written and oral presentations of home assignments and project work.

Schedule
The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course. -
