School Social Work and Pupil Welfare
To gain knowledge of school social work on a more advanced level the course can to advantage be taken together with The School as Social Arena, offered by the Department of Child and Youth Studies.
This course deals with knowledge development and perspectives on social problems in schools, the organisation and practice of pupil health, the school situation and the importance of the school for children in difficult life situations, the school as arena for integration, and joint action for children and youth at risk.
