The course Numerical Algorithms for Parallel Computers, gives sufficient skills in the area parallel computing so that the students will be able to read and understand descriptions of parallel algorithms, understand, in general terms, the size of the potential gain in execution time for a given problem when ported to a parallel computer, choose a suitable parallel algorithm for a given problem, and modify the standard algorithms, described in the course, so that they suit a given non-standard problem.
