Globalization and education, 15 hp

The course explores the implications of internationalization and globalization for education but also the globalization of education. ´World system analysis´ and globalization theories will be used to understand changes in education. The impacts of economic, political, cultural and technological globalization on education will be examined. The increasing drive for international competition and its implications for educational development will be an important theme.
