Lifelong learning: theories and applications, 15 hp

The course will deal with the conceptual foundations and current discourses on lifelong learning from an international perspective, with particular emphasis on the paradigm shift from lifelong/recurrent education to lifelong learning. Diverse, flexible and open sytems and practices of lifelong learning, the knowledge-based global economy and lifelong learning, as well as the implications of lifelong learning for personal and vocational developments and the development of intercultural and communication skills, will be studied.
