Educational reform, 15 hp

The course will examine trends and developments in educational reforms in developed and developing countries. Reforms took a certain shape before the early 1980s, and were conditioned by factors and features internal to each reforming country. Among more recent common reform elements have been decentralization, introduction or reinforcement of choice, and privatization. These types of reform, including the latest trend, systemic reform, will be studied in this course.
