The Master’s program in peptide and protein chemistry is given jointly by the Department of Neurochemistry and the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. The main focus of the program is to give a broad insight about the chemistry, chemical properties, functions and applications of peptides and proteins. The first year of the program consists of four compulsory courses (45 credits in total) and course(s) corresponding to 15 credits which can be chosen among five specialized courses. The second year of the program consists of one or two courses free of choice and a Degree Project which is conducted in a research group at the Department of Neurochemistry or at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. The program provides a good platform for further studies e.g. graduate studies, as well as for a professional carrier both nationally and internationally.
