Description
This course is intended for students who are interested in texts and communication from a historical perspective and gives students basic training in reading and interpreting texts from the Scandinavian (primarily Swedish) Viking and Medieval Ages. The course includes an introduction to the study of older texts and the basics in runology, ancient Icelandic and onomatology. This is an introductory course in Scandinavian languages with a historical profile.
