This course is intended for students who want to pursue a more in-depth study of older Scandinavian texts. The course gives students an introduction to language changes in time and space (language history) and a deeper knowledge of runology, ancient Icelandic and philology (text interpretation). The course concludes with a paper linked to one of these areas. This is an intermediate course in Scandinavian languages with a historical profile.
