Today’s communication society needs people with skills to create, develop and design digital services with the user in focus. It is the designers, developers and IT analysts, who understand that technological solutions are largely due to the way people interact, communicate and work.

The ICT-bachelor programme (ICT) educates you to be an interaction designer or expert in information technology that tomorrow can determine the way we communicate and share information with our employees, classmates, friends and family. You learn, for example, to create exciting interfaces, where users can interact with software by voice, gestures and movements.

After studying in the programme, you can work with the role that digital media and communication processes play in society today and in the future that you are involved in creating. During the education, you get knowledge of software and interfaces in order to form communities and experiences. You learn what makes people able to communicate effectively with the help of technical means and how better to exploit the potential of various technologies.

The education takes a wide-ranging theoretical perspective and a practical approach, which is necessary to analyze human communication and to create digital interfaces between people and technology. You can develop basic computer skills, knowledge and understanding of design and development of IT products and IT interfaces that put usage and the user in focus. The tuition is largely project-and problem-based.
