The programme consists of four semesters of full-time study and is run jointly with the University of Copenhagen, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim and the University of Tampere under the title:“NoMAds – Nordic Master of Arts degree in Dance Studies”. The course consists of six obligatory courses(75 credits), 1-2 optional courses (15 credits in total) and an obligatory assessed written essay module (30 credits). Four topics are offered as intensive one-week courses: dance and cultural theory, dance history, dance analysis and dance anthropology. The programme aims to develop generic skills in analysis and critical reflection, which along with broad, advanced knowledge about the dance subject is useful both in dance-specific professions and within the sector of cultural and educational administration.
