In this course, students learn about different aspects of students’ writing development in school and gain an understanding of the conditions of school writing based on recent writing theories, as well as goals and findings in writing pedagogy. An important part of the course is the question of what consequences writing theories can have on writing instruction. The different elements of the course are examined from both a first and second language perspective.
